Orlando Local Favorite: Gideon’s Bakehouse

ORLANDO LOCAL FAVORITE: Gideon’s Bakehouse

I am superrrr excited to share today’s local favorite. A place adored by Orlando’s residents and visitors alike-Gideons Bakehouse!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is located within an exciting string of small, local businesses at Eastend Market. In their 286 Square Foot bakery, they are serving up probably the BEST cookies and baked goods I have ever had in my life. The bakery’s aesthetic is almost like stepping into the pages of an Edgar Allan Poe Poem. Their original decor and style are just one of the many reasons you feel drawn to the bakery.

While its moody vibe is enough to draw you in, let’s talk about the real reason we’re waiting in line at Gideon’s-THE COOKIES. To start, their cookies are nearly HALF A POUND, and so much deliciousness is packed into that half-pound. Everything is baked fresh every single day. Gideon’s menu of original and unique flavors like Peanut Butter Crunch, Candied Walnut Chocolate Chip, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip (my personal favorite), and Triple Chocolate, just to name a few, will leave you wanting to go home with one of each!

Gideon’s Bakehouse started off as a very small business with a budget of $800 and ONE employee, since their humble beginnings, the bakehouse has exploded. On weekends, you’ll find people lined up at the bakehouse to get their favorite treats. The shop is currently open 7 days a week from 10 am-6 pm, or until they sell out. You can also pre-order your favorites online for pick-up so that you don’t miss out on these special treats! And in even more exciting news, Gideon’s is opening their very first flagship store at Disney Springs in 2020! If you’re staying near the parks or taking a stroll through Disney Springs, and are looking for something different and outstanding, definitely make a stop into Gideon’s Bakehouse. You won’t regret it, trust me!

A couple of years later, and here I am--one of your Magical Moves Realtors! I truly have the best job in the world. In my spare time, I am a big-time baker, crime docs binge-watcher, and homebody. Thank you for reading a little bit about me, I look forward to assisting you on your Magical Move! ✨

By Eric Gross | August 11, 2020 |

Three weeks ago I closed on my new-build home and moved to Clermont from Lake Nona. Could two neighborhoods be more different? Lake Nona is known for its futurism: Think self-driving shuttles, a shipping-container food court, and a 100-court tennis association. Lake Nona is unique beyond all means. The suburb was designed with health and…
